To enable to the client to understand their internal emotions, and to learn to use tools to manage their emotions so that they Respond rather than React. Dr. Harbor will develop 3-5 treatment goals that are specific to each client. Goals help Dr. Harbor to gauge progress throughout the therapeutic journey. Goals help each client to stay focused on their destination.

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessments help identify an individual’s specific needs and guide targeted support. Two main types serve different purposes: psychoeducational assessments focus on learning abilities, while psychological evaluations examine emotional and behavioral functioning.

Psychoeducational assessments examine how children learn by testing cognitive abilities, academic skills, and executive functioning. These evaluations identify learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, and/or ADHD, and results help create classroom accommodations and education plans.

Psychological evaluations take a broader approach, exploring emotional and behavioral challenges through interviews, observations, and testing. They investigate mental health conditions, emotional regulation, and social functioning when these issues significantly impact a child's daily life.
